We provide them with a co-working space and cover all their IT and Wi-Fi needs.
We offer them a best-in-class, intensive 6-week digital marketing program.
Afterward, we place them in host companies in Ireland, the US, and the UK for a 1-year apprenticeship.

I was driven to create Digital Roots to solve two problems: Having worked in Albania since 2018, I could see the chronic shortage of sustainable employment. Emigration numbers are off the charts, and the country was losing its most talented and best-educated individuals. Through my work in Ireland, I could see social enterprises and SMEs being left behind in digital marketing. These organizations, with amazing stories, lack the skills or time to implement effective social media strategies and, with current salary rates, could not afford to employ the talent they need.

Along with Elias, my partner in Albania, we created Digital Roots as a solution to both problems. In Albania, the apprentices are supplied with all their IT , Wi-Fi, and co-working space needs. We created the training in Ireland through Diarmuid Fatharta, one of Ireland's leading digital marketing trainers. We have the ambition to scale the program and would love to hear from you.

What is the cost?

Total Cost is €7500 (£6,500) per year.

Can any company apply to be a host company?

No, the host company must have a strategy to be implemented, those that have taken on graduates to build their strategy have not seen the results.

Who is my contact if I have a problem with the Apprentice?

Once you start, Eva, our Community Manager will be your contact.

Is it a once off cost or is there a payment plan?

We are happy to set up a montly direct debit.

What about my data, is it secure?

Yes, refer to our data policy.

The payment is low - How much goes to the apprentice?

The apprentice is paid a living wage in Albania. There is a small margin to contribute to back office and Community Manager costs. In Albania, a police man earns €5000.

What happens after the first year?

You can continue to work with them, though the rate will be higher: €15,000. However, this is still far short of the minimum wage in Ireland or the UK.

Will the apprentice need to visit?

No, everything is remote.

What about office space, computers & Wifi?

All is provided by Digital Roots at no additional cost to the Host Company.
